Veterans Recovery Program
We’re committed to providing a holistic approach to wellness and recovery for veterans.
Our veteran program focuses on enhancing wellness and recovery support for those who have served our country. Veterans often face unique challenges related to mental health, substance use, and reintegration into civilian life. Tyler’s Redemption Place is here to help.
veterans meetings
Veterans are invited to join our weekly Veteran specific meeting. We use an open format to discuss recovery, life skills and a variety of issues that impact our veterans. We provide a place to heal and build community in a safe environment.
See the calendar below for veteran-specific meetings, activities, and other events happening at Tyler’s Redemption Place.
The RCO is open as a drop-in six days a week:
MONDAY: 1PM - 6PM
TUESDAY-FRIDAY: 11AM - 7PM
SATURDAY: 8:30AM - 4:30PM

VR Program
Tyler’s Redemption Place offers a 17-session Virtual Reality program called TST-VR at The Retreat. This platform aids Veterans in recovering from substance use disorder using Transcending Self Therapy (TST), which focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to transform negative thoughts and behaviors.
The immersive VR environment includes hands-on learning through games and activities centered on core recovery concepts, providing guided lessons on therapeutic principles.
Developed with the US Veteran’s Health Administration and Virginia Commonwealth University, TST-VR was guided by Dr. Jarrod Reisweber, the founder of TST.
